I’m just a dude with an English degree from a midwest university — a dude who suffers as people do their worst to kill the English language.  I resist illogical and unfounded change to our tongue.  Trends in language make me cringe.  I believe that, where our language is concerned, people should walk where paths have been laid, and that we should not lay paths where people walk.  My kids have been known to refer to me as “the Language Nazi” — affectionately of course.  Let’s do this, folks.
